Impressions of Illinois IL Book Christmas Ornament in Library of Congress I am the artist. I've had a couple ornaments on the White House Christmas Tree. In 2005, I was asked to decorate a wooden book for my state, Illinois, by the Library of Congress. That book was 6 1/2" x 4 1/2". This ornament is half the size. It has a green marbled background, though it may look black. It's a copy of the original, copied on paper and decoupaged on wood. I travelled to Washington DC to see it.
